With a strong focus on community, innovation and the rapidly growing sport of Ninja, USA Ninja Challenge continues to set new benchmarks.
BOSTON, Jan. 27, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- USA Ninja Challenge, the nation's leading kid-focused Ninja franchise, is celebrating a banner year in 2024, achieving record-breaking growth, significant milestones and groundbreaking developments that position the brand as a leader in both the franchise and fitness industries.
"The primary reason for our growth is our strong culture — we are all on a mission to help kids overcome obstacles one at a time," said Richard Knight, CEO of USA Ninja Challenge. "Giving back to the community is key. We are a family-oriented and community-oriented gym. Those are key elements of what we do."
USA Ninja Challenge achieved 62% year-over-year growth in 2024, marking a significant milestone as the franchise crossed the 50,000-kid threshold. When it comes to franchise development, the brand also celebrated 21 new franchise signings in 2024, bringing the total number of signed locations to 68 units. USA Ninja Challenge also opened 10 new gyms, bringing the total number of operational locations to 34 units, including the brand's expansion into California with seven new units.
"We are trying to get out there and help kids with physical fitness," said Knight. "As that number continues to grow, the more kids we can help. That is a very positive thing."
With Ninja's upcoming inclusion in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics as part of the pentathlon, the brand partnered with the Olympics to fundraise for athletes competing in Paris this past summer. It also hosted an annual competition for its top athletes, giving them the opportunity to train with Olympic coaches.
Looking ahead, USA Ninja Challenge has set ambitious goals for 2025, aiming to sell 25 new units and open an additional 20 gyms, bringing the total unit count to 60 locations in operation and nearly 100 sold.
"The sport of Ninja continues to accelerate," Knight said. "We have more and more organizations supporting this franchise. At the UNAA world finals, over 10,000 kids competed from all over the world. This growth is addressing critical needs like childhood obesity and the decline in traditional sports participation. Parents need something to get kids engaged, and Ninja provides that."
Knight also emphasized the brand's unique ability to foster positivity. "Every kid that comes to Ninja can do something well," he said. "That's the positivity of the sport. Everybody cheers everybody on. Our kids need that positive environment in their lives."
With childhood fitness taking center stage globally and Ninja's Olympic debut around the corner, Knight believes this is a pivotal moment for potential franchisees to join the USA Ninja Challenge family.
"This brand is dealing with real issues like childhood obesity and giving kids a way to stay active and engaged," he said. "The sport's growth and the opportunities it presents are only accelerating."
