Founded in 2014, the Grande Foundation Manufacturing Academy offers a 17-week FREE accelerated training program designed to equip individuals with the skills necessary to succeed in today's advanced manufacturing sector
SAN DIEGO, Jan. 15, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Grande Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to training unemployed and/or underemployed individuals from underserved and underrepresented communities for a career in advanced manufacturing, is proud to announce enrollment is now open for the 2025 Grande Foundation Manufacturing Academy. The Academy start date is February 3, 2025, and ends May 30, 2025 (Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.)
The Academy implements both classroom lectures and shop labs as part of its course curriculum that will provide essential skills in machining, including computer numerical control (CNC) machines, Six Sigma, shop theory, safety training, mathematics, blueprints, and inspection.
Graduates receive job placement and earn credentials relevant to the Manufacturing Industry, including:
- Certificate of Achievement
- 6 Sigma Green Belt Certificate
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Educational Overview Certificate
The Academy is open to anyone interested in exploring the potential for a career or advancement within the advanced manufacturing and/or machine tooling industries. Individuals as young as high school freshmen to veterans transitioning from military service are encouraged to apply.

The Academy is a collaborative effort between Grossmont College and the Grande Foundation, and hosted at , a combination that provides the highest level of training to program participants.
