Steamericas, the leading provider of commercial and industrial portable dry steamers, is helping businesses meet stringent CARB SORE standards.
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 22, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- , an industry leader in advanced steam cleaning technology, is providing solutions to businesses aiming to meet stringent California Air Resources Board (CARB) standards and Small Off-Road Engine (SORE) regulations. With regulations requiring zero emissions for most newly manufactured small off-road engines—including leaf blowers, gas-powered lawnmowers, and portable generators—to drastically reduce pollution levels starting in 2024, Steamericas is at the forefront of offering sustainable solutions.
SORE, one of the categories that CARB regulates, requires new engines to be certified and labeled to meet emission standards and other requirements. As of today, anyone in California currently using pressure washers under 25HP (e.g., power washers, car washes, HVAC services, etc.) made prior to 2024 is not in compliance with the CARB SORE regulations, with some exceptions, such as certain diesel engine pressure washers, being allowed even after 2024.
"Our units are built to meet various needs," shared Yujin Anderson, CEO of Steamericas. "Whether you're looking for all-electric solutions or diesel hybrid engineless models that align with CARB's environmental goals, we are helping businesses stay compliant while ensuring operational efficiency." "We're excited to support businesses in transitioning to more sustainable operations and encourage them to take the necessary steps to contribute to the planet's health."
With the advancement and availability of zero-emission equipment, businesses in commercial and residential contract cleaning, car wash, and transportation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) systems have a unique opportunity to improve their operations. Transitioning to eco-friendly solutions, like Steamericas technology, is feasible, beneficial, and attractive, especially to environmentally conscious companies looking for solutions to keep them ahead of the game in the future.
Steamericas technology provides power stations as replacements for gas-powered generators, which are set to be banned starting in 2028. These power stations are typically required to power Steamericas' engineless diesel models. Unlike traditional options, Steamericas diesel steamers do not idle, have no engines, and require only about 300 watts of power. This energy can be supplied by a power bank (a.k.a. a battery-powered generator) or by drawing from an EV's battery reserves.
