A grant from the Edie Fraser Women's Entrepreneur Fund directly assists current and aspiring women business owners through local SCORE programming geared to elevate, educate and empower them
WASHINGTON, March 14, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The SCORE Foundation, the philanthropic arm of SCORE, the nation's largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors, announced that for the third year in a row, a grant from the Edie Fraser Women's Entrepreneur Fund directly assists current and aspiring women business owners through local programming geared to elevate, educate and empower them.
The Lester, Muriel and Edie Fraser Women's Entrepreneur Fund supports the creation and execution of a series of seven women's business roundtable events and summits this year organized and hosted by SCORE chapters. Successful events have already been held in Denver, Puerto Rico and Indianapolis. Additional events are scheduled at SCORE chapters in New York City, Portland, Greater Chesapeake & Potomac (DC area) and Arizona. These programs raise local visibility for women-owned businesses and offer opportunities for female founders to network and engage with SCORE mentors.
"The women attending our event were truly hungry for a chance to connect, learn and grow," explained Kathy Cohen, event co-chair of the SCORE Denver chapter. "The panel and roundtable discussion were lively and engaging enabling many women to share their stories and get feedback, support and reinforcement," added co-chair Mary Spenard.
"How proud I am to support the SCORE Foundation and the women entrepreneurial programs SCORE offers across the nation," said Edie Fraser. "I believe the work of SCORE is fundamental to this nation and its communities; thank you, , for your leadership on the Foundation," she added.
