Wireless charging company Resonant Link is now Resonant Link Medical, a private medical technology company delivering faster and more convenient wireless power for medical devices to help people get well, stay well, and stay well wherever they are.
SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt., Jan. 29, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Wireless charging company Resonant Link is now Resonant Link Medical, a private medical technology company. As Resonant Link Medical, it will be solely focused on expanding its trusted wireless power for medical devices to help people get well, stay well, and stay well wherever they are. Under the Resonant Link umbrella, the company has delivered wireless chargers to a range of industries and customers, from startups to Fortune 500 industry leaders.
"We are thrilled to be able to partner exclusively with medical device leaders to deliver more effective and convenient treatments for a range of healthcare conditions," says Aaron Stein, PhD, Co-Founder and CTO. "This is a natural evolution that highlights the critical importance of power to help people live better lives."
As part of the launch, Vermont-based MedTech venture capital firm Features Capital led Resonant Link Medical's Series A financing, with participation from Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies (VCET). Jeff Chu, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Features Capital, will join the Resonant Link Medical Board of Directors. This capital infusion will accelerate Resonant Link Medical's commercial growth, building on its track record of helping global medical device customers to deliver more effective and convenient treatments for people living with health conditions like chronic pain, depression, sleep apnea, and heart failure.
"Resonant Link Medical's first-of-its-kind wireless power technology will transform the future of implantable medical devices to improve patient outcomes and quality of life," explains Chu, adding, "As people continue to live longer, we are going to rely even more on innovative medical technologies to manage, treat, and prevent health conditions. Medical device power has been a limiting factor to what's possible, until now."
Resonant Link Medical's proprietary innovation replaces traditional power methods that can cause harm, like cords that run through the body, recharging that requires people to sit still for hours, and surgeries to replace depleted batteries. Resonant Link Medical's launch comes at a pivotal time as the shift to outpatient care, digital health, and a more consumer-focused approach to patient care were major topics of J.P. Morgan's 43rd annual healthcare conference earlier this month. As medical technology promises to make healthcare smarter and more accessible, wireless power is integral to future solutions.
