New program helps credit counseling clients build a credit history based on bill payments.
WASHINGTON, Dec. 5, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people to achieve financial stability, today announced a pilot program with Pebble, an innovative solution for household bill payments. This six-month pilot will be conducted in partnership with participating member agencies.
The pilot program aims to help nonprofit credit counseling clients build credit history and improve their credit scores by incorporating Pebble into the financial counseling process. Pebble recognizes the credit relationship held between household billers and customers, reporting on-time bill payments to all three credit bureaus which traditionally go unreported.
"This pilot collaboration with the NFCC allows us to leverage their expertise and trusted reputation to offer consumers a comprehensive credit-building solution," said Jonty Hirsowitz, CEO of Pebble. "By recognizing on-time bill payments, we're giving people the credit they deserve for their financial responsibility. Together, we're empowering individuals to build a stronger financial future."
"Our collaboration with Pebble presents an excellent opportunity to offer innovative solutions that can help consumers achieve their financial goals," said Mike Croxson, CEO of the NFCC. "By incorporating these tools into counseling services, we can provide more comprehensive support and empower individuals to build a stronger financial future."
