Nonprofit affordable and supportive housing developer Linc Housing reorganized its executive management team as the organization prepares for growth in the coming years.
LONG BEACH, Calif., Oct. 17, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Linc Housing, a nonprofit builder and manager of affordable and supportive housing, announced major organizational changes and several promotions as it sets out on an ambitious growth strategy through 2027 and beyond.
Effective immediately, Ben J. Winter is promoted to executive vice president, overseeing all of Linc's housing development activities, corporate development, policy, advocacy and communications. Cecilia Ngo is promoted to senior vice president, joining Anders Plett, also senior vice president, as a key member of the housing development leadership team. In addition, Ruth Smith is now senior vice president of human resources and workplace operations. Effective January 1, 2025, recently appointed Chief Financial Officer Erik Svensson will oversee the asset management team, bringing his financial and real estate expertise to Linc's portfolio of properties.
"We've spent the last few years putting into place a stellar team of professionals to guide Linc into our next phase of growth, bringing innovation and new ideas that will carry our mission forward," said Rebecca Clark, Linc Housing CEO. "We're feeling energized and optimistic about the new structure because it positions us to be even more strategic as we explore all the opportunities we see to help solve the region's housing shortage."
Linc recently finished implementing a three-year strategic plan and is launching a new four-year plan that emphasizes growth in housing and community development, increasing positive impact on Linc residents and neighborhoods, fostering a diverse and robust staff, and elevating Linc's brand through advocacy and partnerships.
"As we celebrated our 40th anniversary throughout 2024, we've been reflecting on Linc's evolution from a small organization with a handful of properties to a robust nonprofit that's developed nearly 10,000 homes throughout California," said Suny Lay Chang, Linc Housing president and COO. "With this new structure, Becky and I will have more time to focus on overarching strategies, including elevating Linc's policy voice and targeting key growth opportunities."
Other promotions include Tiphaine Abarca-Lefevre as director of external affairs, and earlier in the year, Ian Nevarez was appointed director of corporate development and Ian Simpson was named director of asset management.
