Stephen M. Schleicher, MD shares his newly updated guide to skin and facial care
HAZLETON, Pa., Jan. 6, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Updated with the most current medical information, Stephen M. Schleicher, MD has released the newest edition of his comprehensive guide to understanding and caring for skin. "Skin Sense!: A Dermatologist's Guide to Skin and Facial Care," acts as a detailed and informative resource for understanding skin health, addressing common skin problems, and implementing effective skincare practices.
Schleicher explains that the skin is not only the body's first line of defense but also a key element of self-perception and attractiveness. He leverages his decades of experience as a board-certified dermatologist to cover a wide range of information, emphasizing the importance of maintaining skin's health, resilience, and beauty over time.
"The key to skin's durability is its amazing regenerative power," Schleicher states. "Skin is composed of billions of living cells. As soon as one of these cells becomes injured or dies, a new one rushes to take its place. Such is the natural process of healing, and because of this biological phenomenon, any damage to our outer shell is usually temporary. As we shall see, there are times when even our skin has had enough."
"Skin Sense," covers a diverse range of topics, such as complexion do's and don'ts, nutritional supplements, tanning, changing moles, and caring for skin conditions such as acne, eczema and psoriasis. Also described are common contagious skin diseases, the dangers of skincare misinformation found on social media, and the benefits of modern office-based cosmetic procedures. Schleicher's guidance helps readers recognize, understand, and manage a wide range of skin conditions.
