Norfolk, VA mural designed to help drive awareness during National Child Abuse Prevention Month
NEWPORT NEWS, Va., May 1, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- National multifamily management company, (DF), announced its sponsorship of the latest wall mural to further raise awareness for National Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) month in April. Samaritan House provides support to victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, and homelessness in Hampton Roads, offering emergency and permanent housing, counseling, legal assistance, and more. With over 50% of its clients being children, Samaritan House aims to spotlight this critical issue, and DF remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting the organization and this cause.
Samaritan House partnered with local artist , a multidisciplinary artist, advocate, presenter, and art instructor to design and paint this year's awareness mural. Davis was commissioned to paint the mural on an exterior wall of located in a high traffic area of Norfolk, VA. New for this year, supporters of the mural will have a role in painting parts of it alongside the artist herself.
