Detrow Begins Principal Accelerator Program, establishes SMB Tax and Accounting Practice in Oak Ridge, Tennessee

OAK RIDGE, Tenn., Jan. 29, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Dark Horse CPAs, a top accounting and tax firm serving small businesses and individuals across the nation, announces the hiring of Joe Detrow, CPA as an Accelerator in the firm's Principal Accelerator Program. Detrow's breadth of experience in public accounting and private industry in the areas of accounting, finance and taxation supporting small businesses, entrepreneurs and affluent individuals focused earned him a seat in Dark Horse's Principal Accelerator Program.

Joe earned both a bachelor's degree in both Accounting and Business Administration from Youngstown State University along with a CPA license from the state of Ohio as well as from the state of Tennessee. He brings to Dark Horse nearly two decades of accounting and tax experience in public accounting, primarily at regional and local accounting firms, as well as in-house experience in private industry covering the areas of tax compliance, planning and consulting in addition to fractional CFO services.

Having wanted to build his own practice for quite some time, Joe was hesitant to go out on his own. "I had always thought about having my own firm, but the thought of having to manage the business and build the needed infrastructure to do so kept me from taking the plunge. It's one thing to be a practitioner and another thing to be a firm runner.
