While on base, Lt. Col Shannan Carter, FSS Commander of the 20th Fighter Wing, talks about what it means to provide meals to an active flying wing of Airmen and aircraft crews at the Afterburner Grill. Additionally, Air Force history is at the forefront of this episode with a visit to the Tuskegee Airmen Memorial, honoring the incredible legacy of the trailblazing pilots.
"BASE BITES," an exclusive new series produced by AFSVC, takes viewers inside the dining facilities and eateries serving unique menu offerings across the United States Air Force and Space Force bases. Along with the ever entertaining host Rudy Jay, the new series visits nine installations to explore a slice of life for servicemen and women.
