Knowing the importance of helping people age well and live their best years, the Palatine, Illinois-based non-profit Elderwerks presented its 10th Annual Aging Better Expo in Hoffman Estates and warmly welcomed over 600 visitors in-person and over 150 virtually—seeking resources that can make a difference for their aging loved ones. Elderwerks Executive Director Deana Liss was glad to see the outpouring of interest.
PALATINE, Ill. , Sept. 4, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Knowing the importance of helping people age well and live their best years, the Palatine, Illinois-based nonprofit presented its 10th Annual Aging Better Expo in Hoffman Estates and warmly welcomed over 600 visitors in-person and over 150 virtually—seeking resources that can make a difference for their aging loved ones. Elderwerks Executive Director Deana Liss was glad to see the outpouring of interest.
"These expos very much speak to the demand for more information about aging and planning to age well," Liss said. The event presented over 100 booths focusing on all aspects of aging, 35 volunteers 12 educational programs, and two fitness classes. Liss explained that some of the popular topics this year included ones that targeted long-term planning, care for adult children and their aging parents, estate planning, and whole-brain fitness. Many guests expressed to Liss how much they appreciated connecting with professional experts and gleaning information to help them care for aging parents.
