Author hopes that by sharing his life story he is able to inspire others
LOUISIANA, Dec. 16, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Author Russ Scannavino has shared his life's experience to help uplift other people who have suffered similar injuries and setbacks. He has documented his recovery and career trajectory to help show that there is "always hope."
In "A Second Chance…And Then Some," Scannavino shares his story about awakening from a coma after a serious car accident and not recognizing anyone. His mother, a devout Catholic, contacted her religious friends, and they began praying for Scannavino over the phone. News of his condition spread quickly, resulting in a wave of support and prayers from over 500 people.
"I firmly believe that God had a plan for me, a plan that would take about two years to fully unfold," said Scannavino. "While I might have been fortunate to recover due to my youth, I am convinced that my recovery was part of a divine plan rather than just a result of my physical resilience."
In high school, Scannavino was an inspirational leader, class president, treasurer of the student council and co-captain of the football team. After high school he took a job at a convenience store. He was soon made the youngest manager the store had ever had and was honored as the best manager for two years in a row, and the second best manager in his third year. He was quickly moving up and gaining recognition in the stores corporate level when the car accident derailed everything.
"Today, I can tell you with gratitude and humility that I have recovered," said Scannavino.
