WASHINGTON, Jan. 9, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Board of Trustees of Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI) is pleased to award two J. Bradley Kennedy Scholarships this year to Jhenna Gregoire-Zepeda, Property Manager, Industrial, with Jones Lang LaSalle, and Julius Franklin, Building Engineer at Frauenshuh Inc.
Established in 2011, BOMI created the scholarship to honor Mr. J. Bradley (Brad) Kennedy's focus on excellence and his lifelong commitment to education. The annual scholarship is awarded to a student who is in pursuit of advancing their property or facilities management career.
"Each year, an independent committee made up of the BOMI Board of Trustees Competency Committee reviews and ranks all applications based on a weighted scale across several categories," stated Andrew Taylor, BOMI's Chairman of the Board. "We are pleased to be able to offer support for continued personal and professional growth with the CRE industry."
Gregoire-Zepeda manages a third-party portfolio of three million square feet of industrial buildings across Phoenix's West Valley. She also provides management to multiple owners, prepares monthly and quarterly financial property reports, and serves as tenants' direct point of contact.
"Commercial property management is a career path I feel passionate about, and I want to continue learning and growing as much as possible. A BOMI International education and completing the RPA program would aid in doing just that," says Gregoire-Zepeda.
Franklin is a building engineer at the Infor Commons building, a 450,000-square-foot Class-A office building owned and managed by Frauenshuh. His strong desire to learn about how to operate, maintain, and repair building systems makes him a fantastic SMA scholarship recipient.
"With a deep commitment to facilities Management, I am pursuing BOMA SMA® designation. This scholarship represents an essential opportunity for me to continue advancing my skill set and gaining a deeper understanding and knowledge of the components and equipment I come across daily," says Franklin.
Each scholarship recipient is awarded a full ride in pursuit of their BOMI designation.
